start to explore Barnard. Deciding on a
college is a difficult process, and our goal is to provide
you with as many opportunities to connect with us as we
can. If you are not familiar with all that Barnard has to
offer, we recommend that you start with the About

Evaluation
of first-year applications for Fall 2008 is well underway.
Our Admissions Officers are busy reviewing transcripts,
reading essays, and learning about the myriad activities
and accomplishments of our applicants. Students will be
notified of our decision by the end of March. A reminder
to all transfer and visiting student applicants -- the deadline
to apply for Fall 2008 is April 1st. Application forms are
available online to download
at your convenience, or you can request an application sent
to you by e-mailing
our office. We hope you use the application to let us
know who you are. We want to know what you value, what your
aspirations are, and why a school like Barnard will be important
to you as a transfer or a visiting student.
To those
who are new to our site -- please be sure to add your name
to our mailing
list. If you are starting to plan your college visits,
your trip to New York City won’t be complete without
a visit to our campus on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
There
is much happening on our campus this semeser. Please check
Barnard's
Calendar for upcoming events.
This
spring the Admissions staff will also be traveling across
the U.S. and overseas, visiting high schools, participating
in college fairs and college planning workshops, Please
check back in the spring, and if you see your school on
our list, please stop
by and pick up some information.
