Bursar

As you consider your course options for next year, you will need to consider the issue of financing your Barnard education. We know you want the very best, and we would like to help you consider the options. The following information provides a summary of fees for 2008-2009 as well as alternative payment and loan options offered by Barnard.

In planning your budget, please note:

All FIRST YEAR residents in College housing are required to enroll in a Barnard unlimited meal plan.

TRANSFER AND VISITING residents of the Barnard Quad (Brooks, Hewitt, Reid, and Sulzberger Halls) residing on floors 2-8 are required to enroll in a Barnard unlimited meal plan.

If you are required to enroll in a Plan, please complete the Dining Services Contract after reviewing the meal options. Be sure to return the contract to the Bursar by Friday, June 15, 2008 if you are entering in the fall semester. If you are entering in the spring semester, please return the contract within two weeks of your acceptance. If you are required to enroll in a plan, but we do not receive your contract by the deadline, you will be charged $2,285 for a Barnard unlimited meal plan (non-kosher), regardless of use. If you are not required to enroll in a mean plan, you need not return the contract. Transfer and visiting students must enroll in a meal plan as soon as they know if they are living in the Quad, on Floors 2-8.

Bills for the fall semester will be mailed in early July and are payable by August 1, 2008 to avoid a progressive late payment fee. Bills for the spring semester will be mailed in early November and are payable by December 1, 2008 or within two weeks of your acceptance, whichever is later.
