The
Office of the Dean of
Studies supports the academic success of all Barnard
students. The deans on the staff are responsible for helping
students make thoughtful and informed decisions about the
completion of degree requirements. The class deans serve
as general resources for personal and academic support and
assist with various rites of passage such as the declaration
of major, the monitoring of academic standing, and commencement.
