Class Visit
One
of the best ways to sample what Barnard has to offer is
to sit in on one of our classes.
Class visits will resume in September.
Interview
An interview is considered optional and is not required for admission. If you elect to participate in an interview, it is an opportunity for us to learn more about you and will be considered in our review of your application for admission. On-campus interviews are generally available
for high-school seniors Monday through Friday from June
through mid-December. A limited number of weekend interviews
are available during the fall semester only. Students in
the Class of 2010 should call Admissions at 212-854-2014
to schedule an on-campus interview for Summer or Fall 2009.
Schedule
an Alumna Interview
Alumnae
interviews are offered only for students residing outside the New York metropolitan area. However, if you live
in the New York metropolitan area and are unable to schedule
an on-campus interview, you may request an alumna interview.
Please note that interviews are not guaranteed.
If
you reside outside the United States and will be visiting
campus please contact Laura
Kaub .
The deadline for fall 2009 applicants to request an alumna interview has passed. Fall 2010 applicants may begin submitting online requests for alumnae interviews in August.
Meet with
a Coach
Through the Columbia/Barnard Athletic Consortium, women at Barnard College and the undergraduate
divisions of Columbia University compete together as members
of University-wide athletic teams. These teams compete at the NCAA Division I level within the Ivy
League. If you are interested in competing on one
of our Division I athletic
teams, we encourage you to contact the coaches directly
to set up a time to speak with them when you visit. Contact Carolyn Middleton, the Barnard athletics liaison, for more information.
