Since its founding in 1889, Barnard College has witnessed significant individual, institutional, and societal transformations. The Barnard College Archives collections showcase changes in American society with particular attention to women’s experience.

The Archives recently acquired a donation of Kenneth Heyman's photographs of alumna Margaret Mead, class of 1923. These are on permanent display in the Wollman Library Reading Room.
