Weather Update
Due to the storm, Barnard College will close at 4pm today, for non-essential personnel. “Essential personnel" include staff in Facilities, Public Safety and Residence Halls.
Friday evening and weekend classes are cancelled but events are going forward as planned unless otherwise noted. The Athena Film Festival programs are also scheduled to go forward as planned but please check http://athenafilmfestival.com/ for the latest information.
Please be advised that due to the conditions, certain entrances to campus may be closed. The main gate at 117th Street & Broadway will remain open. Con Edison Internship Grant
In collaboration with the Office of Career Development, in Summer 2010, ASEP announced a newly funded internship program. Con Edison, which has provided electric service in most of New York City and Westchester County for more than 180 years, has been instrumental in providing much needed scholarship support for promising young women at Barnard College. Con Edison is committed to supporting women who are seeking careers in the sciences. This program will sponsor internships or research experiences in the following fields:
- Engineering
- Environmental Science
- Computer Science
- Physical Chemistry
- Physics
- Mathematics
We hope to offer this opportunity again next summer.
