Artemis Migration Timetable


There are several steps in the migration process.  Here is a typical timetable:

March 26
  • Help Desk calls the Department Head to invite this group to move to Artemis.  
March 28
April 2
  • Coordinator and Help Desk:
    • create final list of users
    • decide how to handle old generic accounts
    • select Migration Day when 
      • most users will be available
      • AT can send a Migration Team to that department
  • List is sent to MINS
April 9
  • User accounts created on Artemis
April 13
  • Preliminary migration of data by MINS
  • Coordinator reminds everyone in department that Athena access will be disconnected at 4 p.m. on the day preceding Migration.
April 16
4 p.m
  • Final migration of data.  Access to Athena will be disconnected at 4 p.m.
April 17
  • AT Migration Team visits department to install new software and assist users in changing Novell password.  
  • Coordinator maintains list of "absent" users for follow-up visits by AT.
