Barnard and Columbia accounts for Barnard Staff

Each Barnard staff member receives an account on our "BC" server.  This account is authorized by the Human Resources Department.

This account provides:

• A Barnard email account

• Access to the various features of  eBear

• Storage space on the server:  bc.barnard.columbia.edu

Staff members use the same user name and password to log into webmail and eBear.   If you have a problem logging into eBear, see http://www.barnard.columbia.edu/at/eBearPage.htm

Barnard email accounts are terminated when you leave the College.

In addition, all Barnard full-time staff have Columbia "UNI"  accounts. This account  provides "authorization" to use most on-line resources available on the Barnard/Columbia Library System.  Staff  members must activate their UNI accounts online at: http://www.columbia.edu/acis/accounts/create/.

Some Barnard staff members also have accounts on Artemis, a server designed for file sharing within a department, and access to the Datatel system.
