Computer labs

Information about Student Computer Labs can be found on the ResNet website.

Hughes Computer Classroom - 401 Altschul

This classroom has an overhead projector, laser printer, 24 Dell PCs, as well as a Dell PC at the front of the room for the instructor. The computers are placed around the perimeter of the room. Because this is a controlled access lab, the user does not need to log in to the computers or printer. The computers have the standard lab software package (including Microsoft Office 2007, SPSS, GIS) and are configured to prevent installation of other software. The Hughes Lab is available for classes and by appointment. This room may be reserved by students for special academic projects. Email helpdesk@barnard.edu for information. Before making a reservation, we suggest that you visit this room to see if it suits your needs.

Accessing the room: After you receive an official confirmation of your reservation, call Security immediately to arrange for access to this locked room on the day of your reservation. Projector support: For instruction on using the overhead projector, or to report a problem with the projector, call Media Services: x4-5427. Printer support: Paper supply is unpredictable because of the variety of users. Bring standard, new paper for the laser printer. Report paper jam or poor print quality to the Help Desk by phone 212.854.7172 or email help@barnard.edu. Computer Support: Report computer problems to the Help Desk by phone 212.854.7172.
