Due to the storm, Barnard College will close at 4pm today, for non-essential personnel. “Essential personnel" include staff in Facilities, Public Safety and Residence Halls.
Friday evening and weekend classes are cancelled but events are going forward as planned unless otherwise noted. The Athena Film Festival programs are also scheduled to go forward as planned but please check http://athenafilmfestival.com/ for the latest information.
Please be advised that due to the conditions, certain entrances to campus may be closed. The main gate at 117th Street & Broadway will remain open. BCIT provides advice, quotes, installation and maintenance of desktop & laptop PCs for faculty and staff. In general, the College purchases Dell PCs in standard configurations for all members of the Barnard community. Contact the BCIT Service Desk for a quote, or to discuss your particular computer needs. (The full process can be seen at the Purchasing web site.)
The BCIT Service Desk has more limited scope of support for personal laptops owned by faculty and staff members. We can assist you with:
- Connecting to the Barnard secure wireless network
- Accessing your Barnard email account
- Installing site-licensed software approved for personal computers
- Recommending companies which provide technical support for home computing
