Weather Update
Due to the storm, Barnard College will close at 4pm today, for non-essential personnel. “Essential personnel" include staff in Facilities, Public Safety and Residence Halls.
Friday evening and weekend classes are cancelled but events are going forward as planned unless otherwise noted. The Athena Film Festival programs are also scheduled to go forward as planned but please check http://athenafilmfestival.com/ for the latest information.
Please be advised that due to the conditions, certain entrances to campus may be closed. The main gate at 117th Street & Broadway will remain open. Desktop Software
BCIT supports a number of software site licenses and has standard installs for all Barnard-owned computers. Some software is also available from the CUIT Software Center.
There are also standard software packages in the student computing labs and in the BCIT-administered instructional labs. Faculty who are teaching in those locations can request special software installations from the Service Desk.
Applications and Software Services
gBear is Barnard's implementation of Google Apps for Education. It provides email, calendaring, collaborative documents, mailing lists, and student web sites.
The business of the college (including finance, human resources, development, the registrar, bursar and purchasing, etc.) runs on Datatel Colleague.
eBear houses Barnard's secure web-based applications for faculty, staff, and students.
