Weather Update
Due to the storm, Barnard College will close at 4pm today, for non-essential personnel. “Essential personnel" include staff in Facilities, Public Safety and Residence Halls.
Friday evening and weekend classes are cancelled but events are going forward as planned unless otherwise noted. The Athena Film Festival programs are also scheduled to go forward as planned but please check http://athenafilmfestival.com/ for the latest information.
Please be advised that due to the conditions, certain entrances to campus may be closed. The main gate at 117th Street & Broadway will remain open. Google Apps for Education
New Tools for Communication at Barnard College
Welcome to Barnard's Google Apps for Education (GAE) information website. Here you will find information about Barnard's implementation of Google Apps for Education, as well as Barnard's plans to implement those services at the College. These applications, collectively termed gBear, include email (gBear Mail), calendars (gBear Calendar), and contacts (gBear Contacts).
Why has Barnard moved email to Google Apps for Education?
1. Google Apps for Education offers 15 times more email storage space than Barnard does.
2. Google's email search allows you to find old emails quickly (especially when you can't recall who sent it or when you received it).
3. Calendars are integrated with email, so you can maintain your schedule and allow others to see when you are free or busy.
