Study of short prose texts and recent literary developments. Discussions of aspects such as: memory and Germany identity; fantasy and storytelling; borderlands and Berlin in contemporary literature. Readings in neo-Marxist, psychoanalytic and semiotic film theory. Texts by Wedekind, Fontane, H. Mann, and Musil and films by Pabst, Fassbinder, Wenders, and Trotta.
