Each year, Barnard’s Marketing and Events team plans and supports over sixty events hosted by the College, almost all of which are free and open to the public. Attending an event at Barnard—whether a lecture, talk, panel, or performance—is one way for students, faculty, alumnae and our New York community to experience the richness of life here on campus and the breadth of Barnard’s academic expertise. Marketing and Events helps organize these events, often from initial conception, and coordinates promotion efforts once plans are in place. The team works with hosts from throughout the College, as well as from outside organizations, to maximize the impact of their events.
Marketing and Events helps plan key events throughout the year that are of special interest to the campus community and the greater New York City community. These events, which range from small discussions to multi-day conferences, raise awareness of Barnard's exceptional educational programs, students and distinguished faculty, while creating unique opportunities to connect with leaders in a multitude of disciplines.
Marketing and Events works closely with faculty, students and administrators to publicize Barnard events. Through event advertising, such as posters, postcards, and other materials, distributed among our campus and alumnae community, as well as targeted marketing to the larger New York City community, we help get the word out about upcoming events and attract interested and engaged audiences.
If you would like to discuss promotion for an upcoming event you are planning at Barnard or just have an idea for an event you’d like to discuss, please feel free to contact us at events@barnard.edu .
