The 1889 Society: Leadership Annual Giving to Barnard College
Make a gift every year; support a student every day.
The 1889 Society recognizes and thanks leadership annual donors whose generous gifts provide an unbroken foundation for the Barnard academic experience. Membership is based on unrestricted gifts that come in during a given fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). Members of the 1889 Society make gifts of $1,889 or more.
Young Alumnae who have graduated in the last ten years and who make annual gifts of $100 multiplied by the number of years since their graduation will also qualify for the 1889 Society. The 1889 Society acknowledges the founding of Barnard College in 1889.
The Barnard College Scholars: By making a gift of $10,000 or more to Barnard's annual fund, a donor can provide a one-year scholarship for an individual student. Every effort is made to connect students with the Barnard College Scholar donors who support their education.
Consistent Annual Giving Donors
Annual giving donors are the lifeblood of the institution, which is why consistent giving is also recognized and applauded, as it underscores a reverence for the past and commitment to the future of the College.
