The Diana Center will be a LEED-silver building.
What does that mean to you and me?
The LEED Green Building Rating System™ from the U.S. Green Building Council provides a baseline against which improvement above the norm can be measured in the following areas:
- Sustainable sites
- Water efficiency
- Energy and atmosphere materials and resources
- Indoor environmental quality
- Innovation and design process
The green building initiatives listed under "The Diana Center's Distinct Shade of Green" will allow Barnard to pursue LEED silver designation for the Diana Center.
