Morgan Murray (e-mail)


Morgan Murray joined the Office of Disability Services at Barnard College in 2012 from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) where she worked with students with disabilities. Morgan has previously worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and received her Master of Science in Education degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Hofstra University. The graduate program’s mission is to prepare students as professional counselors with specialized knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to assist persons with disabilities towards achieving their personal, social, educational, psychological, and vocational independence. Morgan is affiliated with the following organizations: National Rehabilitation Association, Disability Network of New York City (DNNYC), Association of Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD), Seven Sisters Disability Network and Disabled Student Services in Higher Education (DSSHE). Morgan works with Barnard employees and students with disabilities with chronic medical conditions, psychological disabilities, hearing impairments, vision impairments, physical/mobility disabilities; substance abuse/recovery. 

Olga Hrycak (e-mail)    

Learning Disability Coordinator

Olga (Okie) Hrycak joined the staff of ODS in 2006 and has a BA in psychology from Caldwell College and an Ed.D from Rutgers University. She has taught masters-level courses in LD assessment at Rutgers and served as an elementary principal for fourteen years. Okie works closely with registered students with learning disabilities and attention deficit disorders (LD/ADD). 

Paula Hercules (e-mail)

Assistant to the Director

Before joining the Office of Disability Services in the fall 2012, Paula was the Administrative Assistant to the Pre-Professional Deans. Paula is the first point of contact to students registered with ODS and assists with the day-to-day activities of the office. Paula coordinates the exam schedule and facilitates the receipt of documentation and other ODS related requests. Paula is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Early Intervention and Infant and Family Development/Early Childhood General and Special Education.
