Weather Update
Due to the storm, Barnard College will close at 4pm today, for non-essential personnel. “Essential personnel" include staff in Facilities, Public Safety and Residence Halls.
Friday evening and weekend classes are cancelled but events are going forward as planned unless otherwise noted. The Athena Film Festival programs are also scheduled to go forward as planned but please check http://athenafilmfestival.com/ for the latest information.
Please be advised that due to the conditions, certain entrances to campus may be closed. The main gate at 117th Street & Broadway will remain open. The Office of the Dean of Studies supports the academic success of all Barnard students. The deans on the staff are responsible for helping students make thoughtful and informed decisions about the completion of degree requirements. The four class deans serve as general resources for personal and academic support and assist with various rites of passage such as the declaration of major, the monitoring of academic standing, and commencement. Other deans work with particular groups of students, e.g., transfer students, students interested in particular graduate and professional study, students who seek extra academic support, students interested in study abroad and fellowship opportunities, and international students.
