Dean Ani Bournoutian is the designated adviser in the Dean of Studies Office for commuters.

Admissions

Commuting to Barnard: “A small percentage of Barnard students will commute from their family home or from an off campus apartment. Commuter students may request a locker in which to store books or other items. There is also a commuter lounge, located in the Diana Center where students can socialize or study. Skip Stop, a student organization for commuters, also provides services and activities throughout the school year.”

Commuter Service:“The Student Life Office supports the cultural, educational, and social programs designed to enrich commuter life. The Skip Stop Commuter Student Organization sponsors events and services for all commuter students. The commuter lounge is located on the first floor of the Diana Center. Additionally, the Office of Residential Life provides information on off-campus living.”

Skip Stop Commuter Organization: “Skip Stop Commuter Organization provides services to integrate commuters into the Barnard College community and make commuter life more pleasant at Barnard College. Skip Stop provides information to commuter students about the facilities and opportunities available to them at Barnard College. All students registered as commuters according to the Registrar are automatically members of Skip Stop Commuter Organization.”
