NEED FINANCIAL AID FOR 2008-2009? Applications are due Friday, April 18. All documents can be downloaded or linked to from the Financial Aid website http://www.barnard.edu/finaid/. Click on "Application Procedures" and "Returning Students" and you will be connected to all required forms. There are also links to connect to and complete the Federal FAFSA form and the CSS PROFILE form on-line. Please note: All materials should be sent in one packet by the deadline to College Board IDOC, PO Box 4017, Mt Vernon, Illinois 62864 and not to the Barnard Office of Financial Aid.

ACADEMIC STANDING REPORTS: The Dean of Studies Office is receiving reports from faculty members about students who seem to be having difficulty in particular courses. If we receive one for you, we will ask you to meet with your adviser or Class Dean to talk about ways of improving your standing. We hope that the reports and conversations will be helpful to you.

ALL STUDENTS GOING ON STUDY LEAVE: Please fill out the study leave and waiver forms available at the Dean of Studies Office by Monday, April 21, or as soon as you are admitted to the program you will attend. Please submit this form in lieu of filing a program. The pre-approved course form is due on last day of classes, Thursday, May 1.

ADVANCE PROGRAM FILING FOR FALL 2008: Please read the Registrar's memo and the information on Barnard limited-enrollment courses. Programs must be entered online, and approved by your adviser online, by 4:30pm on Monday, April 28. Please check with your adviser early on to find out when s/he will be available to meet with you.

FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS: All current first-year students who will need to take First-Year Seminar in the fall must add it to your advance programs. Dean Hollibaugh has sent information about seminar offerings and procedures to your McIntosh boxes.

PARENTAL LOSS SUPPORT GROUP: This group is for any student who has lost a parent recently or in the more distant past. This group explores ways in which the loss of a parent has had an impact on your life in large and small ways. You don't need to feel sad or depressed to join this group, just curious about your life now. If you are interested in joining the group please call 854-2092 to make an appointment to speak briefly with Giselle Harrington, Ed.M, group facilitator. We meet Wednesdays, 6-7pm, in the Furman Counseling Center Conference Room.
