Junior Class Notes

The junior class dean, James Runsdorf, advises juniors on academic matters. His responsibilities include publicizing scholarships, awards and other opportunities available to juniors; ensuring that all juniors have declared majors; consulting with juniors filing petitions to the Committee on Programs and Academic Standing; making recommendations to the Dean of Studies about requests for readmission to the College; assisting the Dean of Studies in disciplinary matters involving juniors; counseling students interested in taking courses at the Columbia School of International and Public Affairs; and working with junior class officers to coordinate events of special interest to juniors. In order to see to the general welfare of juniors, he consults with faculty and parents as necessary. All juniors are welcome to make an appointment with Dean Runsdorf to introduce themselves!
