Columbia College Courses

Barnard students have open access to Columbia College courses. Courses listed in the Barnard Catalogue preceded by the letter "C" are Columbia College courses; courses preceded by the letter "V" are offered jointly by Barnard and Columbia, and those preceded by the letter "W" are other interfaculty courses. You must file for Columbia courses with space limitations at the Registrar's Office.

Humanities C1001-C1002 (Literature Humanities), C1121 (Art Humanities), and C1123 (Music Humanities) and Contemporary Civilization C1101-C1102 are open to Barnard students. Because these courses are required of all Columbia College students, Barnard students enroll on a limited, space-available basis.
