A Step-By-Step Guide to the Plants Database

First, open your web browser and navigate to the following URL:
http://160.39.101.211/biology/index.jsp
If you cannot access this page, then the application is not running at this time. If you need access, please contact your instructor to start the application.

At the prompt, enter the username designated by the lab instructor. Then enter the number or rows necessary. Click on "Submit Query" when ready.

At the welcome screen, enter data. When ready, click on "Submit Query."

The next screen allows you to go over data. At this point you still have a chance to fix any errors by clicking on the Back button in your browser. If everythingis correct, click on "Submit Query" to load your data into your database.

Your data has now been enterred into the database. To make a spreadsheet of the data, click on "Excel this data to an Excel Spreadsheet."

The following screen will appear. If you wish to simply open the spreadsheet in order to print, click on "Open." If you wish to save the spreadsheet as an Excel document, click on "Save."

The following screen will appear with your data.
