In celebration of Constitution Day and the 100th anniversary of Charles Beard's An Economic Interpretation of the Constitution, Herbert Sloan, Barnard professor of history, will examine one of the most influential books ever written on the origins of the document. 

Constitution Day commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787.
