WBAR Barnard College Radio is pleased to announce the 18th annual WBAR-B-Q, an afternoon and evening of great music, big fun, free food (kosher, vegetarian and carnivorous selections from Cherubechnaya of Rego Park) and springtime relaxation. This will all take place on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Barnard College. This year's WBAR-B-Q will feature two separate venues: Barnard's verdant Lehman Lawn from 3PM until 7PM, and the adjacent Diana Center's Event Oval from 7PM until 11PM (the latter of which will also stand by as the event's rain location). The outdoor Lawn stage will host Jersey Shore (Ridgewood, that is) surf rockers Real Estate, while the indoor Event Oval stage will boast the psychedelic audio/visual acid house of The Crystal Ark, only the second ever NYC performance of Gavin Russom's latest project on DFA Records. And the remainder of the lineup is no less exciting, a classic in WBAR's tradition of bringing a totally unique bill of indie, experimental, electronic and more to Morningside Heights.
This year's event promises to be spectacular. WBAR hopes to see you there!
