Denver Teaching Fellows Seeks Outstanding Candidates
Now Accepting Applications!
Last year in Denver 67% of white 4th graders were proficient in reading, while only 30% of their Hispanic peers were proficient. Only 52% of students graduated from high school. Our students need excellent educators to deliver on the promise of quality education for all. You can close the achievement gap. Become a Denver Teaching Fellow.
The Denver Teaching Fellows (DTF) program aims to increase the effectiveness and diversity of the district’s teaching staff by recruiting and training professionals and recent graduates dedicated to closing the achievement gap and making teaching their long-term career. We seek candidates to become outstanding secondary math, special education, and bilingual elementary educators in Denver’s highest need schools.
Apply today and begin teaching in August 2012, immediately after successful completion of a paid intensive summer training. No education coursework or teaching experience is required. Spanish proficiency is highly desirable, but only required for bilingual elementary positions.
Interested candidates may read more about DTF and apply at www.denverteachingfellows.org. To RSVP for an optional Information Session create your own DTF account at https://denver.teachertrack2.org and register under the “Events” tab.
Apply by our next application deadline: Monday, March 19th. However it is to your advantage to apply as soon as possible as our admissions are rolling and interview slots, which are limited, are filling up quickly. Apply today and join us in making educational opportunity a reality for all of our children.
Their potential is mile high. Help them reach it. Teach.
