Weather Update
Due to the storm, Barnard College closed at 4pm Friday, for non-essential personnel. “Essential personnel" include staff in Facilities, Public Safety and Residence Halls.
Friday evening and weekend classes are cancelled but events are going forward as planned unless otherwise noted. The Athena Film Festival programs are also scheduled to go forward as planned but please check http://athenafilmfestival.com/ for the latest information.
The Barnard Library and Archives closed at 4pm Friday and will remain closed on Saturday, Feb. 9. The Library will resume regular hours on Sunday opening at 10am.
Please be advised that due to the conditions, certain entrances to campus may be closed. The main gate at 117th Street & Broadway will remain open. Join InternMatch, Google, CBS, and more on February 29th for the biggest internship event of the year!
On February 29th, InternMatch is joining forces with Google, CBS Interactive, Ashoka, Salesforce, SiriusXM Radio, and Nestle Purina PetCare Company to host the largest ever internship hangout and first on Google+. Using Google's Hangout On Air feature, each company is going to host an hour-long session to educate students on key hiring topics and spend time answering questions.
The format of the hangout will be similar to the recent Town Hall hosted by President Obama on Google+, with InternMatch acting as a digital host, a small number of pre-selected students able to join each session via video, and an unlimited number of additional student viewers able to watch the event live and engage by writing in questions.
How to Participate
Whether you're a student, a career counselor, or a university employee, getting involved is free and easy. Just add the InternMatch Google+ page (https://plus.google.com/u/0/111717986631020303242/posts?hl=en&utm_source...) to your circles and from there you'll be able to watch the event live and ask questions in real-time to the presenting speakers.
