The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) seeks driven and ambitious individuals to urgently and dramatically improve the quality of education Louisiana’s students. Louisiana is a challenging and reform-rich environment focused on increasing student achievement through ensuring teacher effectiveness, offering school choice, and holding all students to high standards.
WHY LOUISIANA?
One in three Louisiana students performs below grade level.
We must challenge this troubling statistic, lead the reform effort, and accelerate progress toward higher academic performance for all students. We must Teach Louisiana.
WHAT IS THE NEED?
Focused on student outcomes, Louisiana is redefining what is possible for students at all grade levels. We are decisively equipping students with the best teachers, and equipping teachers with the best supports.
As much as we have accomplished, we have much farther to go. There are still some 200,000 students in Louisiana (about a third of the state’s student population) performing below grade level and not receiving the education they deserve.
In order to meet this need, the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) seeks passionate and innovative educators to fill vacancies across the state in every certification area and at every grade level.
Join us in our mission to raise academic performance for all students. Join us in our mission to Teach Louisiana.
WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?
The LDOE has identified specific openings in traditionally run and public charter schools across the state. We also provide a valuable matchmaking and pipeline service available free of charge to all public schools in Louisiana. We seek the best teachers from across the country. Louisiana school districts turn to us to refer top talent. Be the talent.
