Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. celebrates a tradition of excellence as one of the largest and most sophisticated full-service law firms in the country. Founded in 1933, Mintz Levin has grown into a versatile law firm of highly qualified and dedicated attorneys representing diverse international clients in many industries. Mintz Levin’s offices are located in Boston, Washington, D.C., New York, San Diego, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Stamford (CT), and London. The firm has a long tradition of charitable support and civic involvement for which it has been recognized numerous times.

The Program:

The Project Analyst Program was founded in 1989 with a class of five Project Analysts in the Boston office. In response to the rapidly changing and increasingly competitive nature of the legal market, the Program has expanded to cover over ten practice areas, and now includes ten Project Analysts. During their two-year tenure, Project Analysts gain practical experience and valuable exposure to law and business by working alongside Mintz Levin's attorneys and senior professionals.

The Boston, New York and Washington, D.C offices of Mintz Levin currently staff Project Analysts. In these offices, Project Analysts have worked in the following practice areas: Antitrust & Federal Regulation; Corporate & Finance; Communications; Employment, Labor & Benefits; Environmental; Clean Technology; Firm Management; Health Care; Immigration; Intellectual Property; Litigation; Public Finance and Real Estate, as well as with Mintz Levin's consulting affiliate ML Strategies.

Project Analysts work as a team. Together they coordinate the Project Analyst Program recruiting and orientation process, and other programmatic issues. In many respects the Program is an autonomous group within the Firm, responsible for its own day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning.

Duties and Responsibilities:

At Mintz Levin, Project Analysts can expect to utilize a broad range of skills to meet the needs of the Firm and its clients. Under the guidance of attorneys and senior professionals, Project Analysts research legal and factual issues, review and analyze documents, organize data, draft reports and written analyses and produce detailed presentations. All of this work contributes to the firm’s dedication to unparalleled client service. Project Analysts will also gain expertise in numerous computer applications and information services, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Photoshop, PowerPoint, Introspect, Quark, Visio, Lexis/Nexis and Westlaw.

In addition to working in designated practice areas, Project Analysts may assist attorneys with case work for these pro bono and community service initiatives, for example, by interviewing clients and drafting affidavits. Outside of pro bono legal work, Project Analysts participate in volunteer projects, charitable events, and coordinate many of the pro bono and community service activities.
