The NYC Teaching Residency Program:Application Deadline is February 21, 2012

Tuesday, February 21, 2012

Train for a year. Teach for a lifetime.

Apply Now to the NYC Teaching Residency for School Turnaround.

Every student in New York City deserves to be taught by great teachers.   However, many schools in our highest need communities still struggle to attract and retain great teachers.  The mission of the NYC Teaching Residency program is to recruit and prepare talented, committed individuals to become effective teachers who dedicate themselves to raising student achievement and driving change as part of a school turnaround strategy in New York City's lowest performing schools.

NYC Teaching Residents learn the essentials of great teaching while fully immersed in a NYC public school community for one school year working as an apprentice teacher with an experienced Resident Teacher Mentor and earning a subsidized Master’s of Education at St. John’s University. Final application deadline will be Tuesday, February 21. Apply today!
