Oxfam America Tabling

Monday, February 6, 2012
11:30AM to 2PM
Diana Center Lobby

Come meet an Oxfam America representative to learn about Oxfam America's CHANGE Initiative as well as the Oxfam Action Corps!

The CHANGE Initiative is a national student leadership and organizing program that offers rising sophomores and juniors at US based colleges the opportunity to become effective agents for social change.  Accepted students participate in a week-long training in Boston from July 21-27, 2012, which is organized and paid for by Oxfam and must agree to join or form an Oxfam Club and implement an Oxfam campaign on campus during the 2012-13 academic year, as well as communicate regularly with Oxfam staff about their work.

The Oxfam Action Corps works to support women farmers, fight global hunger, and build a better food system!  Action Corps members will meet great people and work together to change laws that can save lives, defend the rights of the world’s poorest farmers, and protect communities from rising food prices and climate change.  You will gain leadership skills, have fun, and change the world!
