As we continue to help local businesses grow, the 77 WABC and 95.5 WPLJ Sales Departments keep growing, too. We’re currently seeking exceptional professionals to help drive the future of media sales in New York City. The stations are owned by Cumulus which has 572 stations in 120 US cities.

We are looking to hire experienced sales professionals as well as entry-level. An entry-level sales position is ideal for many recent college graduates. If you were a campus leader, active in intramural or varsity sports, Greek life or student government, you’ve already begun to develop the skill set necessary to succeed as a medial sales representative.

To make it easy for you to decide if a career in media sales is right for you, WABC and WPLJ are hosting one-hour information sessions during the Putting America Back To Work Career Fair on Tuesday, May 15th at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center (11th Avenue & 34th Street) in New York City. They happen at 12:30PM and 2PM. Pre-registration is required to attend the sales information sessions (but not the job fair). The job fair is free to attend, open to the general public and takes place from 10AM to 3PM. Recruiters from a wide-variety of industries will be in attendance. The stations will also have a booth where job seekers can stop by to learn more about employment opportunities within the broadcasting industry during career fair hours. Job seekers are encouraged to bring at least 50 copies of their resume and to “dress for success”.

The stations’ management team will tell you how great a career in radio sales is, about Cumulus’ gold standard training program and our sales management system that supports business development and rewards performance. You’ll also hear about the benefits in working for the second largest radio company in the world. In one short hour, you’ll learn everything you need to know to decide whether a career in media sales is right for you!

Seating is limited. To pre-register for either session, visit www.plj.com or www.wabcradio.com click on “jobs” then click on “media sales info session”. Our recruitment department will contact you with further information and to confirm your attendance.
