Stroud Consulting is hiring exceptionally talented, driven people to join our rapidly growing operations and management consulting practice. If you are looking for the opportunity to roll up your sleeves, partner with clients, and truly make a personal impact, we should get to know each other. Regardless of whether or not you were thinking about consulting, we believe this is the best place for graduates who want to use their technical, interpersonal, and leadership skills to tackle challenging and complex opportunities in a variety of industries. We are confident that the development opportunities at Stroud make this quite simply the best place to start your career. And others agree: Consulting Magazine recently named Stroud Consulting the Best Small Firm to work for.
Stroud is an action-oriented, genuine meritocracy where our consultants make a real difference to our clients' businesses. We believe in helping our clients realize bottom line results; not in writing massive reports that may never be used. We work in a variety of industries from food and beverage, to energy, to healthcare, to aerospace. The everyday work is as diverse as the client base: from leading teams to solving problems to conducting analysis. As a small, growing firm, all of our consultants have the entrepreneurial opportunity to participate in our internal business processes such as recruiting, marketing, and people development.
We will actively work with you to unleash your potential throughout your career. You will expand your leadership ability and confidence by helping clients solve 'impossible' problems. You will further develop the problem-solving mindset you have honed in school to solve both technical and organizational problems. You will do all of this in different organizations and locations, constantly interacting with clients, and rarely sitting behind a desk or at a computer. Two to three years from now, you will be in the best position to tackle the next step in your career, whether returning to school, changing companies, or as most of us do, stay at Stroud.
Within your first two weeks of joining you will get real responsibility. After your initial training, you will immediately begin working face-to-face, on site with clients. You will be given the responsibility to identify top business opportunities and lead client teams to realize them, creating real bottom line impact. Using your own natural inquisitiveness and the new skills we will help you develop, you will show that nearly every opportunity can be realized.
Within weeks of starting, a consultant's typical day will involve:
• Working with clients to analyze processes, prioritize the opportunities, and implement permanent solutions to generate real, bottom line results.
• Leading a daily Rapid Improvement initiative on-site
• Coaching clients on how to lead their team more effectively
• Presenting project results to executive-level clients.
Our company culture is built on the foundation of work/life balance: weekends are your time and all of our employees are encouraged to take five weeks of vacation each year.
If you are interested in combining your technical skills with your ability to lead and develop successful teams, while participating in an entrepreneurial and intellectually rewarding environment, Stroud may be the place for you!
To be considered, you must attend our Presentation & Interview Scheduling Session. If you are unable to attend the session on this date, we will hold a make-up session on Thursday, October 13th at 5pm in Mudd 303.
