Due to the storm, Barnard College closed at 4pm Friday, for non-essential personnel. “Essential personnel" include staff in Facilities, Public Safety and Residence Halls.
Friday evening and weekend classes are cancelled but events are going forward as planned unless otherwise noted. The Athena Film Festival programs are also scheduled to go forward as planned but please check http://athenafilmfestival.com/ for the latest information.
The Barnard Library and Archives closed at 4pm Friday and will remain closed on Saturday, Feb. 9. The Library will resume regular hours on Sunday opening at 10am.
Please be advised that due to the conditions, certain entrances to campus may be closed. The main gate at 117th Street & Broadway will remain open. TEEN VOGUE is gearing up for our seventh annual Fashion University in New York City from October 19-21, 2012. Fashion University is a weekend of seminars and workshops attended by over 500 fashion-focused students from around the world. Fashion University always includes the industry’s most prominent players: past speakers include Diane von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, Alexander Wang, Jason Wu, Proenza Schouler, Tory Burch and Phillip Lim — just to name a few. -Tickets are $275.
-To apply, you must be between the ages of 16 and 24 by October 1, 2012.
-A State I.D. will be required at event check-in.
-Ticket price is subject to NYC sales tax and a processing fee, and does not include airfare, hotel accommodations or meals.
-Applicants will be notified by email by September 28, 2012.
-No high school or college credit earned.
