Weather Update
Due to the storm, Barnard College closed at 4pm Friday, for non-essential personnel. “Essential personnel" include staff in Facilities, Public Safety and Residence Halls.
Friday evening and weekend classes are cancelled but events are going forward as planned unless otherwise noted. The Athena Film Festival programs are also scheduled to go forward as planned but please check http://athenafilmfestival.com/ for the latest information.
The Barnard Library and Archives closed at 4pm Friday and will remain closed on Saturday, Feb. 9. The Library will resume regular hours on Sunday opening at 10am.
Please be advised that due to the conditions, certain entrances to campus may be closed. The main gate at 117th Street & Broadway will remain open. Space Usage:
- For College-sponsored events (including events coordinated by Barnard SGA-Recognized Clubs and Organizations), costs for space usage and furniture set-ups by Barnard Facilities Services will be waived.
- For co-sponsored events, space rental and furniture set-up charges may apply. Liability insurance may also be required. Events Management will work in collaboration with the Barnard event organizer on these details.

Furniture Rentals:
Depending on the event location and furniture requirements, it may be necessary for event organizers to rent furniture and cover necessary delivery and set-up charges. The event organizer must work with the Purchasing Department on arrangements for payment.
Audiovisual Equipment and Support:
For costs related to audiovisual equipment and support for non-Barnard sponsored events, see Space Rentals.
Additional Services:
Event organizers are responsible for the costs related to additional services such as publicity, security, event support staff (e.g. student staff), and decorations.
