Tavius Cheatham
Senior Associate in Physical Education and the Director of Intramurals and Recreation
Tavius Cheatham is a Senior Associate in Physical Education and the Director of Intramurals and Recreation at Barnard College. He specializes in sports pedagogy and movement development. Since joining Barnard's faculty in 2001, he has taught courses including basketball, personal fitness, lacrosse, self-paced running, tennis, volleyball, weight training, and fundamentals of sports. He is a member of the board of Columbia Community Service.
In 2004 he established Barnard College’s annual Stationary Bike-a-Thon to support not-for-profit organizations located within the College’s neighborhood.
