Helene Peet Foley

Professor of Classics

Helene Peet Foley

Helene Peet Foley, professor of classics, joined the faculty of Barnard College in 1979 after teaching at Stanford University. She has also taught as a visiting professor at Dartmouth, New York University, and University of California, Berkeley.

In addition to her teaching duties for Barnard's department of classics, Professor Foley is affiliated with the College's comparative literature program.

Professor Foley is a past president of the American Philological Association.

During the spring 2008 semester, she will be Sather Professor of Classics at University of California, Berkeley.
