John I. Glendinning

John I. Glendinning, associate professor of biological sciences and director of the neuroscience and behavior program, joined the Barnard faculty in 1996.

Professor Glendinning's research interests are in animal behavior, sensory physiology, and plant-herbivore interactions. He is investigating the chemosensory mechanisms that control the feeding behavior of insects and mammals, using a combination of behavioral, electrophysiological, and molecular approaches.
