Joan Snitzer, Senior Lecturer in Art History and Director of the Barnard Visual Arts Program, has taught at Barnard since 1986. She is an artist, critic, and arts administrator and has extensive experience both as a practicing artist and as an organizer of exhibitions. At Barnard, Ms. Snitzer teaches painting, visual arts, and the undergraduate seminar “Imagery and Form in the Arts.”
