Weather Update
Due to the storm, Barnard College will close at 4pm today, for non-essential personnel. “Essential personnel" include staff in Facilities, Public Safety and Residence Halls.
Friday evening and weekend classes are cancelled but events are going forward as planned unless otherwise noted. The Athena Film Festival programs are also scheduled to go forward as planned but please check http://athenafilmfestival.com/ for the latest information.
Please be advised that due to the conditions, certain entrances to campus may be closed. The main gate at 117th Street & Broadway will remain open. When considering transfer students, Barnard has limited funding available. Spring transfers are not eligible for Barnard College Grant aid. Fall transfers are reviewed with an awareness that need may be a factor in a student's ability to attend.
A student who received Barnard aid upon transfer to the College may only apply for aid for the difference between eight semesters and the number of semesters for which she has received transfer credit.
Spring transfer admits are eligible to apply for federal and state aid. You should file the FAFSA, Dependent Student Verification Worksheet, and submit the parents' and student's federal income tax return by November 1st.
Documents to be submitted directly to the Financial Aid Office may be faxed to 212-854-2902 or mailed to the Financial Aid Office, 3009 Broadway, New York, NY 10027. Barnard does not participate in College Board's Institutional Document Service (IDOC).
