Gifts
to the College can be in the form of cash (check or credit
card), gifts of securities, and gifts of real estate and other
property. Donors are often pleased to learn that they can
make a larger gift than they thought possible through life
income gifts, which pay the donor an income for life (or a
specified amount of time) and then distribute the assets to
Barnard. Bequests and charitable lead trusts, where a donor
"loans" a trust asset to Barnard for a period of
time, are other ways of making gifts to the College.

Matching
Your Gift
Many donors are able to take advantage of matching gifts from their employer or their spouse's employer to double or even triple their gifts to Barnard. These gifts count toward gift society membership and are included in class fund totals. In most cases, matching gifts may be used in conjunction with both restricted and unrestricted contributions. Companies with matching gift programs will supply employees with matching gift forms to fill out and send to the College along with their gifts or pledge payments. Please contact Sarah Grimaud at 212-854-2001 with questions regarding matching gifts.
