Weather Update
Due to the storm, Barnard College closed at 4pm Friday, for non-essential personnel. “Essential personnel" include staff in Facilities, Public Safety and Residence Halls.
Friday evening and weekend classes are cancelled but events are going forward as planned unless otherwise noted. The Athena Film Festival programs are also scheduled to go forward as planned but please check http://athenafilmfestival.com/ for the latest information.
The Barnard Library and Archives closed at 4pm Friday and will remain closed on Saturday, Feb. 9. The Library will resume regular hours on Sunday opening at 10am.
Please be advised that due to the conditions, certain entrances to campus may be closed. The main gate at 117th Street & Broadway will remain open. LIBRARIES
Wollman Library, Lehman Hall
Staff members with currently validated I.D. cards may use the Barnard Library. Call x43846 for hours.
Columbia University Libraries
Staff members have access to all Columbia University Libraries. General information about the libraries may be secured from the Library Information Office, 234 Butler, x42271.
PHYSICAL FITNESS
Barnard College
The gymnasium, studios, track, pool, and weight room in Barnard Hall may be used by staff members when not in use for classes or organized activities. For schedules and reservations, call Physical Education at x42085 or visit them online at www.barnard.edu/fitbear.
Columbia University
The Dodge Fitness Center at Columbia University offers a special rate for Barnard employees and their families. For more information, contact their membership office at x42546 or x42547, or visit them online at www.gocolumbialions.com and click on "Dodge Fitness Center."
Tennis Center
Staff members may also use the Tennis Center located at 575 W. 218th Street. Courts may be rented by the hour or by the season. Call 212-942-7100 for additional information.
