You should have the following materials ready in
order to fully complete the application process.
- Personal Statement - Briefly describe your research interests, career goals and why you are interested in NSF-REU at Columbia University's Department of Chemistry. Your personal statement should be a Microsoft Word document with a length no longer than 2 pages.
- Names, titles, and contact information of two (2) reference providers. In the event that your provider is tardy in delivering a reference(s) to our selection committee, we will use the contact information you provide to request the speedy delivery of the needed reference(s). Do not email reference letters. Reference letters should be mailed via U.S. Mail to the address below.
- Official Transcript - All applicants must submit an Official Transcript (no copies!) from their University or College.
