| Eligibility: |
Applications are invited from undergraduates in their junior and senior
years with interests in biology, chemistry, geology and environmental
sciences. Students cannot have already graduated at the time of the
fellowship. Participants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of
the U.S. and its possessions. |

| Compensation: |
Students who are accepted into the DISL REU Program are provided a $3600
Fellowship ($600.00 of which is food allowance of $50.00/week) to
participate in a twelve-week program during the summer of 2007.
Students from outside the Mobile area can apply for limited travel
assistance (up to $300.00). |

occasionally internships are available to students through the research
grants of individual DISL faculty members. |
