Eligibility: Awards are preferentially made to college students who are considering a career in basic science research.

Most funding sources require that students be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. If you are a permanent resident, you must also submit a Permanent Resident Identification Card.

In addition to the online application, we require a current official transcript of your undergraduate work and a letter from a faculty member who can tell us about your background and skills. The application is designed to be submitted in one session, so you may want to look over the application and complete the essay portion in Microsoft Word. You can then copy and paste it into the application.

Compensation: $3500 stipend

Additional Notes: If you are accepted into the program for summer, you will be required to submit additional information. This includes a copy of your health /immunization records. Students are required to have a TB test which must be taken within three months of the start date of the program. A questionnaire will be sent to you at that time which should accompany the health record.
