Eligibility: |
National Science Foundation - Research
Experience for Undergraduates Fellowships
(10 fellowships - emphasis in cellular-molecular biology and
genetics)
- Current junior standing (member of the Class of
2009).
- Student career goals must focus on achieving the
PhD and a research/teaching career.
- USA citizen or permanent residents only.
National Cancer Institute - (15 fellowships):
- Current junior standing (member of the Class of
2009).
- Student career goals should focus on achieving a
graduate or professional degree in the biomedical or natural
sciences.
- USA citizen or permanent residents only.

Application Requirements: |
Online application:
www.roswellpark.org/summer Completed applications, including a $10
application fee, must be received by February 1. If
possible, applicants will send the fee, application, essay, resume,
transcripts, and recommendation together in one envelope. The transcript
should include your Freshman, Sophomore and first semester
Junior year grades. You will receive an email upon receipt
of your completed application. Only complete files will be considered.
Those selected will be notified of their appointment by mid-March. In
the summer of 7, 31 of 120 applications were selected. |

Compensation: |
National Science Foundation: Selected participants receive a
$4,000 stipend plus room, board, and travel.
National Cancer Institute : Selected participants
receive a $3,000 stipend plus room, board and travel. |
