Eligibility: |
- U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
- Special funding available for
- groups underrepresented in the
sciences, math, or engineering
- students from
economically/educationally disadvantaged backgrounds
- first generation to attend college
- undergraduates attending schools
that do not offer opportunities for independent research
or mentoring by research-active faculty.
- Priority given to applicants who will have
completed at least the sophomore year by June 2004. Under unusual
circumstances, we consider current first-years with outstanding
credentials.
- Minimum GPA of B (3.0/4.0), although exceptions
may be granted. Note, though, that admission is highly selective.
Your are especially encouraged to apply if you are:
- from an economically/educationally disadvantaged background
- from groups traditionally underrepresented in the sciences
- a first generation college student student or a student who does
not have opportunities for intensive research at your home
university

Compensation: |
- Stipend: $3000 for 8 weeks or $3750 for 10 weeks
- Free on-campus housing
- Travel reimbursement for up to $500
