| Eligibility: |
Applicants must be enrolled in a four-year,
undergraduate program and have successfully completed at least one year
of college. In addition, applicants must be U.S. citizens or U.S.
permanent residents. The NIH and the Sackler School encourage
applications from members of groups that are under-represented in the
biomedical sciences. The NIH has reported that groups under-represented
in biomedical or behavioral research include African American, Hispanic
or Latino American, American Indian, Alaskan Native, and Pacific
Islander. Individuals who are members of economically disadvantaged
families have also been found to be under-represented in the biomedical
sciences. |
