BUBL Link "A national information service for the higher education community" from the United Kingdom. Arrangement of resources by Subject; see for example Politics. Excellent resource that brings together a wide variety of useful sites on a particular topic. Browse by subject, or search the site.
Columbia International Affairs Online (CIAO) is a comprehensive source for theory and research in international affairs. It includes working papers from university research institutes, occasional papers series from NGOs, foundation-funded research projects, proceedings from conferences, books, journals and policy briefs.
Council on Foreign Relations Web site includes full-text articles, transcripts of speeches and testimony, and reports designed to provide the interested public with reliable, clear, nonpartisan information on key international issues.

Information about countries of the world provided by the Federal Research Division of the Library of
Congress.
Institute for Global Communications (IGC) The Website of the nonprofit IGC offers progressive groups a place on the Internet to exchange information. Includes separate sections: PeaceNet; EcoNet, WomensNet, and AntiRacismNet.
International Monetary Fund (IMF) Website of the IMF has articles, reports and working papers, on economic issues, policy analysis, countries and news.
Lehman Library: International Relations Resources This subject guide lists both restricted sites and web sites for researching International Affairs. A good starting place if you don't want to be overwhelmed with possible resources.
Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) Reports and articles on the Middle East, translated from Arabic, Farsi, and Hebrew, as well as original analysis of political, ideological, intellectual, social, cultural, and religious trends in the Middle East.
State Department (United States) A wealth of information is made available on this site, about international relations, countries and regions of the world, the U.S. State Department and international organizations.
United Nations Has materials about global issues on the UN agenda, key UN documents, statements of the Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General, etc.
World Bank Group Information about the activites of the World Bank
World News Connection (WNC) A foreign news service of the U.S. government that offers an extensive array of translated and English-language news and information, covering socioeconomic, political, scientific, technical, and environmental issues and events.
ABYZ News Links is a portal to online news sources from around the world. It is primarily composed of newspapers but also includes many broadcast stations, internet services, magazines, and press agencies.
The Europa Yearbooks (Barnard Library call numbers are given in the list of Reference Books above) list the newspapers published in each country, in print as well as online.
Lexis-Nexis contains many foreign newspapers in full-text, but it is necessary to know the name of the newspaper in order to search for it, as they are not grouped by country. Select the Guided News Search, the World News category, and then the appropriate region. After that, it is possible to examine the Source List to see which newspapers are available.
Refdesk.com lists the major online newspapers for each country.
Finding Governments' Web pages
Governments on the WWW A comprehensive database of governmental institutions on the World Wide Web: parliaments, ministries, offices, law courts, embassies, city councils, public broadcasting corporations, central banks, multi-governmental institutions etc. Includes also political parties.
International Constitutional Law Provides the constitutions of a huge number of countries.
