THIRD BARNARD SENIOR EARNS FULBRIGHT SCHOLARSHIP THIS YEAR Barnard senior Neeti Doshi has been awarded a Fulbright grant

Neeti Doshi '07, Latin American Studies, has been awarded a Fulbright grant for a year of research in Mexico.

She plans to study sociocultural influences on diabetes risk in a migrating population in Puebla.

After her Fulbright year, Neeti plans to pursue a joint MD/MPH program. She describes herself as a "passionate advocate for equal access to health care for Hispanic communities in the United States.

Classmates Ariela Marcus-Sells and Mariam Banahi have also been awarded Fulbrights this year.

Established in 1946, the Fulbright Program aims to increase mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and other countries, through the exchange of persons, knowledge, and skills.
